Drug Court
The Mobile County Adult Drug (Accountability) Court Is a comprehensive intensive outpatient substance use disorder intervention program under the umbrella of Mobile County Community Corrections (MCCC). The program is designed to intervene once a person is charged with a drug or related offense. Treatment is held in-house at MCCC over at least a 12-month period, with 3 phases allowing the clients to move through each phase of the program.
Involvement with 12-step programs within the community, attending group and/or individual sessions, regular random drug testing, and payment of fees are required.
Mobile County Drug Court program is a pre-plea, post-plea, post adjudication and probation violation program. Participants may enter the program with a felony/felonies or misdemeanor drug or drug related pending charge/s that includes driving under the influence.
Criteria for Admittance
- Charged with a substance abuse or related felony offense
- Assessment indicates drug dependency
- No violent behavior demonstrated
- Possible repeat offender without intervention
